Moved to another city and being separate from my girlfriend recently. This device just makes it much easier for us to stay connected and feel being together with the high-quality camera and sound.The camera can be covered up when I am not using it. So I don't concern much about the privacy issue.It would be a great present for your remote friends, family, and lover.
This is awesome the best on market I have Alexa ,Google home,and this is by far the best device I absolutely love it. I think of how much my phone cost and then the value of facebookportel amazing
I got one for my family and myself. We use it to call each other daily; the video quality is excellent and the AI cameraman does a great job keeping everyone in frame. Haven't used a ton of the other features, but we have found the Alexa integration to be useful.
All I can say is WOW, I already own the big portal model and thought that was great but this was a totally different experience !!!!! The TV portal is ultra dynamic and completely immersive depending on what size tv set you own. I have a 70" Vizio and its 5yrs old but after calling a friend long distance and he appeared on my Big screen larger than life honestly it was like he was literally in the room with me and we were talking face to face like old times. And its cheaper than the large portal I paid $279.00 for this was $149.00 !!!!! All I can say is to see is to believe it felt like an episode of Star Trek the next Generation when Capt. Picard utters the words ," ON SCREEN " and next thing you know the entire screen is wall to wall. Just try and it will make a believer out of you I guarantee it !!!
The Portal + has been a really awesome way for us to connect with family more. My kids use it to call grandma and grandpa and like to show off their school work and how good they are at parkour in our living room. I'm not a big caller but with this I find my self looking for excuses to use it to call my folks or my siblings and we talk longer then we normally do on the phone. Something about being able to cook hands free while talking to them and being able to stay in the center of the camera makes for a really nice video call experience. We love the portal in my house. The experience would be better if both people have a portal but the other person does not need one. We call folks on their mobile phone through messenger. But were going to get our parents each one of these so we can have better call quality on both sides.
